When senior officials leave the European Economic and Social Committee, they are normally not allowed to engage in lobbying or advocacy vis-à-vis their former colleagues during a period of 12 months. The EESC follows up on the external activities carried out by its former senior officials and every year publishes a report on this monitoring.
