Recruitment policy: the EIT’s recruitment policy aims to select well-qualified staff with a high degree of professionalism. As a body of the European Union, the EIT’s conditions of employment abide by the Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Communities and Conditions of employment of other servants of the European Communities.

The EIT offers fixed-term contracts (three and five-year contracts with the possibility of renewal), competitive salaries and attractive additional benefits in line with those of European Union civil servants.

Current interim vacancies

Finance Officer/Grant Assurance Officer, for six months

Purpose: Provide support in the fields indicated under “Tasks” and provide daily support

Salary: from HUF 990 000 gross per month

Tasks:

  •        Contribute to the improvement of overall governance and management and control systems of the EIT and the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs)

  •        Contribute to the assessment of KIC Business Plans and amendments, as well as the assessment of the legality and regularity of the financial reports provided by KICs and eligibility of costs declared

  •        Contribute to the financial and operational management in the area of responsibility, including procurements, implementation of contracts, coordination of external auditors, payments and reporting

Professional experience: Professional experience in accounting / finance or audit or in quantitative data analysis

Qualifications: Completed university degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, mathematics or statistics

Advantageous: Work experience with grants, experience in management of external contractors 

Language skills: Excellent/ Proficient command of the English language (C1 Level based on the Common Framework of Reference Languages)

IT Skills: Computer literacy and in particular excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Office and Internet

Other skills and competencies: Good team working skills, ability to handle peak workloads and deal with senior stakeholders


Grant Management Assistant, for six months

Purpose: Provide support in the fields indicated under “Tasks” and provide daily support

Salary: from HUF 740 000 gross per month

Tasks:

  • Contributing to grant data analysis, draft reviews, analytical reports and briefings;
  • Assisting in meetings organisations, writing minutes, and assisting in other administrative tasks related to grant management
  • Assisting in the management and improvement of the EIT knowledge management system and monitoring tools (including grant information systems);
  • Contributing to the enhancement of simplified procedures and document management at the EIT; Working with all EIT teams and KICs to facilitate the sharing of
  • Knowledge and information, and contributing to technical discussions relevant for the area of responsibility;

Professional experience:

  • Experience in any of the fields indicated under “Tasks”

Qualifications: Completed university degree attested by a diploma

Advantageous:

  • Experience in working for an EU institution
  • Experience in EU funds management

Language skills: Excellent/Proficient command of the English language (C1 Level based on the Common Framework of Reference Languages)

IT Skills: Computer literacy and in particular good knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Office

Other skills and competencies:

- Ability to work well in multicultural teams;

- Ability to communicate in a clear, logical and structured manner

Traineeships at EIT Headquarters

Traineeships at the EIT are addressed mainly to young university graduates, without excluding those who - in the framework of lifelong learning - have recently obtained a university diploma and are at the beginning of a new professional career.

The aim of traineeships at the EIT is to:

  • Provide trainees an understanding of the objectives and activities of the EIT
  • Enable trainees to acquire practical experience and knowledge of the day-to-day work at the EIT Headquarters
  • Promote European integration through active participation to create awareness of true European citizenship
  • Enable trainees to put into practice knowledge acquired during their studies, and in particular in their specific areas of competence
