The Executive Board is composed of:
- the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the Management Board,
- two other members of the Management Board (elected by the Management Board),
- one of the representatives of the European Commission in the Management Board.
The Management Board member appointed by the Council of Europe also participates in Executive Board meetings.
The Executive Board assists the Management Board in all matters such as preparing decisions. It also assists and advises the Director.
Members
The elections of a new Chairperson and a new Executive Board member took place in May 2017. Filippo di Robilant, the Italian Member of the Management Board, was elected as new Member of the Executive Board.
Further elections took place on 29 September 2017: the Management Board elected Filippo di Robilant as new Vice-Chairperson of the Management Board. Consequently, Lawrence Quintano, the Maltese Management Board Member, and Verica Trstenjak, the Slovenian Management Board Member, were elected as Executive Board members.
The new Executive Board took office respectively on 13 July and 29 September 2017.

- Verica Trstenjak (Management Board member, Slovenia)
