In July 2019, the European Commission proposed a new long-term strategy for the EIT, the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA) for 2021-2027. The SIA introduces new plans for the EIT during this period, including the launch of new EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).
