Country profiles
Eurofound undertakes a programme of activities at national level as part of its work to map and analyse socioeconomic and related trends across the Member States. It aims to provide relevant and timely input to the policymaking process at both EU and national levels.
In this way, Eurofound seeks to support the objectives of the Europe 2020 growth and jobs strategy, implemented in the context of the European Semester process. The Agency strives both to document and understand change across the Member States and to develop ideas that will facilitate a better quality of life and work for EU citizens. This vision underpins its work at national level and drives its programme of activities to remain connected with local actors and in tune with national priorities.

Connecting with stakeholders and target groups at national level is an integral part of Eurofound’s work. With its range of quality publications and its survey tools, Eurofound is a ‘one-stop shop’ for comparative socioeconomic research, findings and analysis across Europe. Fundamental to this approach is the Network of Eurofound Correspondents which provides regular updates on industrial relations, working conditions and restructuring activities in all EU Member States and Norway.
Research carried out prior to 31 January 2020, and published subsequently, may include data relating to the 28 EU Member States. Following this date, research only takes into account the 27 EU Member States (EU28 minus the UK), unless specified otherwise.
